This model is a plug follower tool that fits the lock plugs in U.S. Schlage lever handle locks. The particular style of lock plug that this fits has an elliptical end that lofts into the round plug body. It's .490" in diameter. I've used this tool to successfully re-key three lever handle exterior doors. I purchased a set of pins with tools to re-key my locks at my house, but the generic plug follower that came with the kit didn't fit the back end of the plugs on the lever handles. Rather than waiting a few days for a commercial tool to come in, I spent 10 minutes designing this and an hour printing.
