Wing mount for a variety of Schumacher vintage vehicles (Cougar 2000, CAT 2000, CAT 3000). A variety of Schumacher vintage vehicles use a "breakaway" wing mount. The thought being that if the car experienced a significant tumble/roll that the wing could break off, but would limit the damage to the vehicle (similar to some of their crashback front end designs on the original CAT/Topcat). The wing would then be held in place via 1 or 2 o-rings, which could break if stressed too much. While this is a great theoretical option, in practice, it is one of the few parts that I have broken regularly (and the wing does make a difference in how the car handles), and O-rings can be susceptible to chemical damage. To fix this issue, I have redesigned the intent of the part, but hard mounted the upper wing attachment portion. It should be close in overall height placement to the original. Overall wing angle is approximately 6 degrees. If greater angles of attack are desired (or less), this could be changed pretty easily. Tap the mounting holes with a M3 tap. A pocket for a M3 nut is located on the underside for a stronger joint (if desired). Filament selection and print orientation should be noted to ensure optimal strength.
