Scorpia Underdog antenna adapter

Scorpia Underdog antenna adapter

thingiverse

This is an antenna holder / adapter for the Scorpia Underdog quadcopter frame. The original frame has no really good spots to fasten the antenna, so mine was sticking out the back, dangerously close to the propellers. This adapter fits in the two holes on the upper plate of the frame, giving an antenna mount where you can keep the antenna upright and (more) out of harms way. Weight: 1-2 grams. Mounting instructions: I recommend using 2 M3x10 screws + nyloc nuts (works for both models). You can also use a zip tie, but I recommend screws so that the antenna doesn't come loose in a crash. Two versions are included: antenna_plate.stl - A flat plate with a brim that sits against the frame antenna_clamp.stl - A version with plates both above and below the frame, giving a better looking and more firm mount, BUT it can be tricky to print. Print Settings Printer: Wanhao Duplicator i3 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 100% Notes: The clamp version can be difficult to print, due to the tight gap / overhang. I had the best prints on the clamp version when turning the model on its side with a raft. Feel free to experiment what works best for you. How I Designed This Modeled in Blender - my first design ever, made it as a tutorial item.
