Fan art model of Scorpion!! i tried to model this as to the reference image included There is a low poly version and a high poly version included here - i would definitely print the high poly version, aside from the extra details there are a few fixes, that is not to say the low poly version doesn't work... Basically before i did fixes to the model the only difference in the two were in the details, i then printed my higher poly version - which came out alright, with a few minor errors, (which were perhaps on my side due to the scale i printed at - i only printed it without the base measurement at 110mm high), if it was larger perhaps this wouldn't have been a problem but i decided to rather correct these so that the model doesn't have to be over 200mm high to work- What happened was: - the hanging clothing flaps over the base were very thin and broke off - i have made them thicker now (i can glue mine back) - the cord attached to the spear was so thin it just came off with the supports - i have made this thicker as well (on mine i will just glue some string) - The shoulder armor only touched near the edges so mine again came off with the supports - i have filled this gap between the shoulder and the armor pad in, figured no one will look under it. (again mine can just be glued back.) Otherwise everything else worked perfectly - so if you decide to print the lower poly version, keep the above mentioned in mind, you can try and print it larger to avoid these errors, but at worst the parts can be glued back in place. - or just print the high poly as said :)
