Scotty Dogz are a small easy one piece print with a springy moving head and tail. At standard scale they measure only 50mm long / 38mm high / 10mm thick so use very little filament and print in very little time. Do not use support... it's not required but Raft is recommended for ease of removing the print from your build plate and to make sure you don't damage the thin flat springs that print internally and make the head and tail... springy. These print really well on Replicator 2's and 5th Generation Replicators. As soon as the Raft is removed the head and tail should spring forward and backwards. This should print fine in PLA on most accurate well set up machines that bridge well and using a good slicing application. However, there are a few machines and slicing apps that have issues dealing with fine clearances and the internal surfaces necessary to print things that move. Print lots in your favourite colors... great fun 'pets' to have around the place and sure to be popular as little gifts Please refer to the images and print settings for additional information and post images of your Scotty Dogs. . Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator (5th Generation) Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.20mm / Standard in PLA Infill: 2 Shells / 35% infill recommended Notes: Use Raft for ease of removal and to ensure your Scotty Dogz aren't damaged during removal from the build plate. Don't use support as that could cause the internal flat springs to be fused in place which would stop all movement. Recommend using 35% infill.... this still won't use a lot of filament as they are a small print. . Post-Printing Carefully remove the Raft and your Scotty Dogz tail and head should be springy right away....
