SCP-1499 is a Soviet GP-5 single-filter gas mask. The gas mask retains its pristine functionality, but the anomalous effects of SCP-1499 transpire when a human plenarily secures the mask around its head. Person wearing the mask vanishes from view and is no longer optically discerned. Person who wears the mask will be circumvented by tall black towers around the area, floor composed of an ash-like substance. Person wearing the mask would withal visually perceive humanoid creatures walking around.
