I designed a box for my power switch that fits perfectly on an Ikea lack table leg, complete with screw holes for secure attachment. My goal was to have the PSU hidden under the table while keeping the power switch accessible near the front of my workspace. To achieve this, I created a housing that can accommodate a non-rectangular, screw-in power switch measuring approximately 49mm x 58mm in size. The inner rectangle of the housing measures 27mm x 46mm, providing ample space for the power switch to fit snugly inside. I used self-tapping pan-head M3 screws to attach the power box to the table leg, ensuring a secure and sturdy connection. To ensure accurate installation of the mounting bracket, I inserted short M3 screws into the housing where they were just protruding slightly. Then, I carefully slotted the bracket into place and pressed it firmly against the surface to mark the screw locations. After that, I drilled out the marked areas with a 1-2mm bit and secured them with at least M3x10 pan-head or longer screws for added stability.
