Screw Plug

Screw Plug

Thanks to Woodcat64 for a great design. Here's another way to mount the Rear Cable Guide without using screws (I printed these for my two Voxelab Aquila printers). These plugs fit flush with the face of the Cable Guide and will not block the tie strap slots. In your slicer, set the wall thickness to about 10 so there is no infil and it prints faster and is solid. If you print one at a time, make sure you have your print cooling enabled so it doesn't deform (recommend printing all 3 at once to avoid this as much as possible). After printing, you'll probably need to file the fins a little (cardboard nail file) so the total width across is around 4.35mm. This will allow the plugs to fit snugly into the screw threads at the rear of the aluminum extrusion. I printed in PETG and used a glue stick for adhesion to the bed with no issues. You may want to use a brim for adhesion if you have trouble with this. Printed at higher resolution, I think it was .12mm layer height.
