Disclaimer
This is model currently not yet finished. I am still testing the fit and tolerances, and therefore all the parts mentioned may not be available to download yet, and pictures might not have been updated. Please message me or remix on your own if you have any suggestions.
Note
This is a remix. It is heavily inspired by Cheff4K's "Screwdriver Tool, With Built In Storage". The design by Cheff4K was great, and motivated me to improve the design based on my preferences. The files available for download here have been completely remodelled because of difficulties using the original fusion file.
About
This screwdriver has built in storage for 6 normal-sized bits. It also has a rotating handle. This model is meant to be used with magnets, but some parts can be used without. Parts for will be available to download for both types. The parts that (can) use magnets are: - the six-bits holder inside the body, to keep it closed. Since the handle is rotatable, it can not use a simple twist to lock/unlock mechanism, therefore a magnet is required for this parrt. - the main, front bits holder, to change bits without a extended bit holder. A version without magnet will be available, that only uses friction to fit the bits. - the head/the part that holds the bits in use, so it can be exchangable for other types/sizes of bits. For example 4mm bits. The maximum amount of magnets that can be used is 5. Two for the inside storage/bit holder, two for the head to mount it to the body, and one for the head to mount bits to it. The models are designed for magnets with a diameter of 10mm and a thickness of 2.5mm, excluding tolerances. If you have other sizes of magnets, you can either change the sizes in the fusion file, or message me and I might be able to customize the parts for you. The parameters in fusion are called "MagnetDiameter" and "MagnetThickness".
To Print
There are six parts to print: - The "Head", which is the part that hold the bit in use. - The "HeadMagnetSpacer", which is a spacer to be put between the two magnets in the "Head". - The "Body", which is the main housing and handle. - The "BitHolder", which is the part that holds all the bits on the inside. - The "RailStop", which is a stopper for the "rails" inside of the body, to stop the "BitHolder" from being able to slide out. - The "Cap", which consists of two parts, but are meant to be printed in place on or around each other.
Assemble
- Description is not yet done.
