This was my first extruder visualizer project. I wanted to create a system that needed one to two posts with magnets, but would have multiple options for styles. That's right, this print lets you swap out different plates for whatever you feel like seeing for the day with just one post needed. Cue head explosion.

Now supports the Mini+'s X motor!

***just make sure to test out the width of the plates on the mini, as I believe the wide print, like mudflap girl may be too wide for the mini+***

More plates coming soon!

(ignignokt plate, added 5/9 - this plate is a remix of ChaosCoreTech's model at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1971976)

5/8 Update: Check out the display stand for this project, called ‘Screwin-A-Round Showin’ Off':

https://www.printables.com/model/199726-screwin-a-round-showin-off-display-stand

Update 1: The posts are now updated with the sa_post_main fitting an mk3s+ AND the mini+, though i recommend the extended post for the mk3s+. I included the extender post to clear the extruder fan on the mk3s+ on some of the bigger plates, as they spin. It is up to you which post works best with which plate. However, the mini+ will most likely need the smaller main post, so the plates don't catch on a slightly tilted mini+ screen housing when attaching to the X motor. You may need to eyeball for clearance, since the screen tilt is variable.

Update 2: The Potter themed plate now also fits both posts.

Update 3: The propeller plate has been designed to remove a bit of the height on the center piece, to avoid catching the back of a slightly tilted screen on a mini+ when the x motor is in printing position.

***The new posts are square at the base.

Ignignokt Plate (on the mini+)

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/nclS4B_74_Y"></oembed>

Cat Plate

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/LnRnU0QXLxs"></oembed>

Swirl Plate

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/lFsRUdl87h0"></oembed>

-This was designed so you could make your own plates out of anything you want. Just use the post object's threading (whichever post you'd like), cut the shape out of your own 3d object, and then make sure that you enlarge the object with the internal threading by 1.6mm (or 1.7mm) in both X and Y axis (ensures proper thread fitting). This is a very easy process in tinkercad-

-i used 20% infill

-i glued two 8x3mm magnets together, and then glued them into the recessed area of the posts

-the plates and posts were designed to be an easy print just as they are--no supports needed

-add color with a different filament for some of the plates, like the one for superman or potter

-depending on your machine, you may need to just work the screws in each plate to remove any inconsistencies. just repeatedly tighten and loosen the screw until it's nice and smooth :)
