Scroll Case (map tube)

Scroll Case (map tube)

This is a "scroll case" I made to transport larger sheets of paper up to DIN A2 format (in my case maps or drawing paper for tabletop roleplaying) or basically anything you can put inside a long tube. It is meant to be held together with an up to 1" wide and 1-2mm thick luggage strap, but at least in my print the fit was so perfect that that wasn't even necessary. YMMV. Each scroll case consists of two parts: sc_i_XXmm with the inner part of the connection ("plug") sc_o_XXnn with the outer part of the connection ("socket") There are two versions: The first version I made has a 45mm barrel (outer diameter) and also comes with thinner strap slits (27x2mm) The second version has a larger barrel of 60mm (for more or thicker paper) and also larger slits for the straps (27x3,5mm). Wall width is 5mm for both. An extension barrel would easily be possible (to get up to DIN A1 or other larger formats),but I currently don't need one myself yet, so I'm not doing it currently. Pictures are of the 45mm version and with DIN A3 paper . Designed in FreeCad 0.20.1, all files included - so if you need something special, feel free to modify.
