Sculpture for Denison

thingiverse

This is a project that was assigned to me to create a sculpture that would be placed on the campus of Denison University (the university I attend). I have not printed the file, as it was mostly used as a conceptual design. How I Designed This Insperation The design was inspired by both The Chicago Bean, and the guiding principles at Denison University. The rings represent three of the principles while the center sphere represents the community. The intent of this design was to allow people to look into the center sphere (a stainless steel surface) and see themselves ,along with the environment around, as part of the community. This would reinforce the guiding principles of Denison, as well as bring them into a physical manifestation.
