SCUM BCU-2 WIP
thingiverse
I wanted to push myself and expand my knowledge of Fusion360 in the process. So I decided to build a 3D printable replica of the BCU-2 from the survival game SCUM. It's built entirely from scratch by me, with the original as a guide. The design still has plenty of flaws, but it's a work-in-progress, an early-access design if you will. Under one of the small bridging elements is a 3mm hole for wires to light up the BCU with some LEDs. The battery compartment will be added next. I saw other people designing and rebuilding things from other games, so I did this because I really love SCUM and there wasn't anything available yet. If there's an issue with copyright or something, please let me know so I can take it down. That's the last thing I'd want to do – cause any kind of trouble. Maybe someone likes or could use it. // Update 2019/04/18, 01:15am: Added POC 1/2 Printed on Anet A8 with a .25mm nozzle and .12mm layer height using Kaisertech PLA white. // Update 2019/04/19, 06:31am: Added the last POC, hinged version. Settings and PLA were the same as in the other POCs. Only the first solid model is available for download. The other two versions (hollow rigid / hollow hinged) are reserved exclusively. Pictures of my prints are only published to prove that the design can be easily printed even on a poorly maintained and badly calibrated Anet A8 – mostly stock except for the .25mm nozzle, a glass bed, and another fan duct which isn't needed.
