Scutoid, space-filling duo

Scutoid, space-filling duo

thingiverse

If you print enough of these two parts you can fill up the universe! One scutoid is actually a pentagon to rhombus transition (5-->4) instead of the typical hexagon to pentagon transition (6-->5). I'm still uncertain if the geometric definition of a scutoid has been solidified. From my understanding a scutoid is: a shape which transitions from a many sided face to a face of less sides by means of a truncated vertex. This four cell configuration (the two parts are radially symmetrical) fits within a Cairo pentagonal tiling motif.
