This model is based on the various guncarriage elements found during the excavation of the Swash Channel Wreck The Swash Channel Wreck gun carriage fits the style of a typical 17th-century European carriage such as those seen on the Vasa (Cederlund, 2006), the Edesö (Eriksson, 2014), and Enigheden (Moody, 1952), as well as those inferred in Carpenter (1993), Caruna (1994) and Moody (1952), however there is no evidence of a wooden transom as seen on these carriages.
