SD cards holder

This SD card holder can store 4 microSD cards and 2 SD cards. The design is print-in-place (no assembly)! Needs 2 magnets to keep the doors closed (they snap close with a satisfying smack!) I used 2 cylindrical 3mm x 3mm N42 Neodymium Magnet (0.29kg Pull). You can get them easily online. For any other shape or dimension you can modify the model (files included) in your favorite CAD software to change the hole size/shape. When inserting the magnets make sure you put them in the right order, it's impossible to remove them when they are in their socket. I suggest you put the first one fully in any door, then stick the second one on it and just close the doors to have the second magnet enter it's socket in the right direction. Since it's a print-in-place model make sure your printer is finely tuned, if your prints have too much warping the doors can end up merged with the body, making it impossible to open them. From my tests a warping of up to 0.5mm on any corner was still fine. More than that could have the print fail. Printed successfully with PLA, 0.4mm nozzle and 0.15mm layer height. I didn't try any other plastic types or nozzle size, would love some feedback if you try something different! After printing, opening the doors for the first time requires just a little strength, if you are forcing a lot and they don't open you probably had too much warping and the doors have fused with the middle. Not much to do here but try printing again. After you open the doors for the first time, pinch one door at the axle (bottom) and open and close it 4-5 times while pinching. This will help the door open without any resistance in the future. Repeat for the other door. If you still have resistance on one point when the door is half open that could be because the door is touching the edge of the bottom (first layer). You can fill the edge a little to fix that. This was modeled in Autocad 360 Fusion. If you want to modify the model you will notice it only has 1/4 of the card holder model, that's because I took advantage of the model's double symmetry. You can do your changes to this 1/4 then duplicate it with a symmetry and duplicate again with another symmetry to get the full model ready to export and print!
