Second Gen. Camaro Front Coil-Over Shock Mounts (Koni)

This design will mount a Koni coil-over shock in place of the factory coil and shock. The bottom control arm spring perch will need modified like the one in the drawings. I used a hydraulic press to flatten the helical factory perch on the bottom control arm. Then i made a jig from steel with the bolt pattern on it to transfer the pattern to the arm with relative precision. The jig also was used to guide a Ø4" hole saw concentric with the bolt pattern. That completed the modifications to the lower control arm. The top shock mount was removed to give me room for the upper mount illustrated in the drawings. I didn't completely remove the upper control arm mount, just the portion that held the shock. I"ll post some pictures soon to help explain the process.
