WARNING this build needs major cleaning to be printable. I have tried just about everything to get the seems to join nicely. I have attached the the raw height maps I produced using in-world tools along with my openSCAD. Update 2016/05/08 Wow the blender tool bridge edge loops is a life savor I have fixed up the seems issue on the lower portion of the map but it will need further editing to be printable I am actively working on the top part of the map as it has the nastiest of seems i have ever seen. hopefully the whole map should have all the seems issues fixed within a few days. In the mean time I have attached a single sim that should be printable Update 2016/06/03 Updated sl.stl to a properly stitched version that should be easier to fix up for printing. How I Designed This My opensim build grid. The plan of attack. I set up an open sim on my computer and got to work laying out a grid of the sims i wanted to scan.I named the primes after the sim name and the sims global cord making use of http://www.gridsurvey.com for the sim cords. I then in a second client went in world and used a tool that you could wear as a hud for no build sims that used lsl to scan the sim terrain and upload the terrain data to the tools now defunct website where you could then download the raw height map, sim map, and the sculpty map. For sims that prevented scripts from running I was forced to use Terrain Sculptor. The issues with Terrain Sculptor is that is has not been keeped up to date and as such might not even be able to connect to the grid anymore. I then switched back over the open sim and sim by sim chunk by chuck uploaded the sculpty and sim map to the prims i had already laid out in the grid. Once I had the map as complete as i was willing to do due to time constrains I then linked the prims and exported them as a dea. I had several issues with the SL dea export tool as it tends to produce malformed dea files. Since i still had the height map data i revisited the project and used Openscad to try my hand at fixing up the continuity issues but those attempts have failed. The mesh is still not printable. I found that blender handed the SL dea files a lot better then meshmixer did. the STL is a export of the dea using blender and covers a greater area then the scad version as once i realized that the SCAD version would not work either I stopped work on it. Sims that were scanned The scan data is circa 2011. and http://www.gridsurvey.com/ was essential for plotting sim position in terms of global cords Grumphmunch Arezzo Acknefar Pieve Bisaccia Tordangle Elhaddad Rolypoly Skradski Dex Dizadare Siracusa Ziyad Altadonna Rivadulla Eliades Wicktro Elhadi Divirian Blake Sea - Brigantine Pslande Blake Sea - Spyglass Blake Sea - Swash Blake Sea - Travertine Blake Sea - Buckle Blake Sea - Lanyard Blake Sea - Swab Blake Sea - Half Hitch Blake Sea - Binnacle Blake Sea - Turnbuckle Blake Sea - Flotsam Blake Sea - Windlass Blake Sea - Kraken Von Lorenon Marmedunc Qomene Yachdar Jellicoe Nautilus - Ychibarcu Murat Nautilus - Byth Barbarossa Nautilus - Symacom Blake Sea - Azimuth Jemba Sitaca Sleepover Albach Bleacher Imbach Alvacado Cormany Ordinarily Salliohsis Weltenville Corless Poolside Heckerman Masocado Heckendorf Impish Glee Thalipolli Mapple Nerani Dingercat Phenywheny Argybargy Hunbglump Glookbone Rachel Melville Ishmael Queequeg Elijah Peleg Firespire Bertaggia Adrift Dusio Lesters Best Hattori Simplonics Puzey Leelight Sospiri Emprius Nelleman Meddledown Kuhnke Devolin Mal Wodka Quietly Red Strawberry Wild Trubo Larriman Nautilus - Ythmum Nautilus - Mysehi Nautilus - Shahar Nautilus - Eshmun Nautilus - Caneth Nautilus - Ynnocho Hugolin Alziari De La More Nautilus - Oruc Nautilus - Syllohom Nautilus - Adon Nautilus - Kothar Nautilus - Baal Nautilus - Edin Nautilus - Yarikh Zebstar Hassti Eastfield Earndow Gubby Zapico Glockler Fushida Crespo Ratzenberger Villeneuve Stacey Hawkins Von Trips Bristow Donohue Courage Scarfiotti Bildad Rachel's Crew Flask Stubb Ahab's Haunt Pequod's Doom Weever Sculpin Nautilus - Ysthyalm Nautilus - Hamilcar Nautilus - Melqart Nautilus - Thuulech Nautilus - Gisco Nautilus - Himilco Nautilus - Elissa Nautilus - Malchus Nautilus - Hannibal Nautilus - Anath Nautilus - Suniaton Nautilus - Bomilcar Nautilus - Hasdrubal Nautilus - Magon Nautilus - Sidobrim Nautilus - Bymarob Nautilus - Hanno Nautilus - Dido Nautilus - Sophonisba Nautilus - Limmoth Nautilus - Yamm Nautilus - Mlachthi Nautilus - Dybur Nautilus - Adherbal Nautilus - Alonim Hipper von Spee de Grasse Nautilus - Shalim Nautilus - Sicorathi de Ruyter Nautilus - Ualonuth Nautilus - Bynuthi Mentha Bart de Ruyter Tsurington Ghulffoot Rochial Pompelmoo Surcouf Shenning Weiland Westbury Flung Brabham Mindio Cevert Exhara Senna Fanghammer Marimon Goronbum The Measure Nibble Heaven's Sense Starbuck The MastHead Forecastle Stove Boat Shallows Neobelow Yojo Meto X Loomings Faracity Doria Cervera Fruggoof Xinnt Pavran Phelan Fenstrom Wrangel Boomlaw Souchon Dumfoot Brork Broowunph Froog Oarsman's Cove Stoogle Venrigalli Wolsing Twice Right Klessy Bleston Hento Nine Superville Gertrude Rickover Tromp Zumwalt Farragut Halsey Porter Nimitz Grau Coontz Prat Pan Suong Giranzo Tymel Rodel Open sim files Those that wish to use my open sim OAR are free to do so.
