Secret 3M Command Hook

Secret 3M Command Hook

I love 3M Command Strips, but I don't like the way the tab sticks out. But if you cover the tab, they're hard to remove - which defeats the object of using them! So, I designed these hooks with a cap that you can slide on to cover the tab when in use, then slide off when you want to get to the tab to remove them. By having the tab at the top, gravity keeps it on just fine. The hooks are nicely rounded - I don't like sharp edges sticking out of walls to catch on! I split the hook in half so you can print them without any overhangs. Also by printing them in that direction, you get the best strength for the hook. There's a tiny compliant hinge keeping the two halves together, but you'll want a small dab of glue as well. Superglue works just fine, but it doesn't matter too much as strength isn't affected. The hooks come in two sizes and they're surprisingly strong, even with low infill and only 2 walls. If you want super strong, increase the walls. There's also enough room on the hook to add a letter or icon if you wanted! ;)
