SECURA MASK connector to a DAR filter (incl. endcap)
cults3d
[update] The project has been modified to insert the connector into the filter from the side without a leer-lock, which might easily get loose. This is a connector for a SECURA multi-use mask (non medical by standard) to a standard inlet of a filter of a DAR ventilator. If a paramedic works in the field, they need 2x filters. However, for static work inside a hospital, only 1 filter is needed. Therefore, I include an endcap to close the other outlet of the mask The size is quite thick to ensure the rigidity and to be sure that the sealing works well. The tollerances are high narrow to make sure that the tube gets tightly into a filter. If it's too tight or too loose, play with the settings HORIZONTAL X/Y COMPENSATION (Slic3r, Simplify3D) or HORIZONTAL EXPANSION (Cura) to adjust the exact thickness of the tube. Materials: PLA, PET-G recommended. Layer height 0.2mm. 100% infill for high ridigity and good seal. Printing time: ~40min. IMPORTANT This connector is only an alternative to the original and certified elements. The seal has not been clinically tested. It has only been accepted by some individual doctors, based on their own assessment. Nevertheless, from the logical point of view, it should be fully sealed, due to tight fit.
