This latch won't budge until you pull up on the lever - just what you need for an RV or boat where shifting contents can cause a normal latch to spring open. And it has an integral printed spring that makes it snap shut with a satisfying click. It is designed for flush 12mm door panels and latches directly onto a 1" thick face frame. (I've included the design files so you can customize for other panel and face frame thicknesses.) It works with both doors and drawers.

I've also included the file for printing your own hinges!

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

MakerGear

Printer:

M2

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.2mm

Infill:

35%

Post-Printing

The latch uses a 1 1/8" long #6 screw for the pivot. You'll need to cut a notch in your panel 1.025" wide by 0.850" deep to hold the latch. You can secure the latch in place with two 18 gauge brads.

The hinge halves are identical - print two per hinge. Use a 1 1/2" long 4D finish nail for the hinge pin. If the nail hole is too tight, you may want to drill it the hole out with a 5/64ths drill. Mount the hinges with #6 screws.

Category: Replacement Parts
