Makerbot Mini+ Spool Hook and Plug

Makerbot Mini+ Spool Hook and Plug

I've opted for 1kg spools (usually Hatchbox or AmazonBasics brand), as the Makerbot 0.2kg stuff spools are 5x expensive and have to be swapped out 5x as often. The plug allows me to have a mounted spool behind my printer without dragging the filament over the edge (which literally carved grooves on the top edge of my printer). It should also reduce the force required for the extruder to turn the spool. It can be used without the spool hook if you have another spool holder. The hook hangs off the back of the printer and holds the spool. It can be printed on the Mini+ in its proper orientation, but requires a lot of support. If you have access to a large printer, printing it on its side is a better option. This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/66jZ6MYb3Ep
