This is going to be a really niche fix for people who had this issue with their Eris, but a friend and client of my business has the brass bowden fitting break on one of his Eris machines. SeeMeCNC being unable (Or unwilling) to help without the machine being sent in for repairs (To the tune of stupid-amounts-of-money-for-a-sub-$10USD fix), I was commissioned to design a fix that worked as well or better than the original.

I did this by hacking an E3D heatsink to fit (You'll need access to a lathe if you want to do it quickly and safely), and designing a new fan shroud in 3D Builder based on wfcook's modified mount. The result works better than the original, despite not having any layer cooling (Which I attribute to the fact that the Eris has crap layer cooling to begin with).

I printed mine in PETG, 4 perimeters, 30% infill. I expect both PLA and ABS would work as well because it stays cool to the touch as long as the fan is running.

--

If you like the design and want to support my work, throw me some crypto currency!

Bitcoin: 3QfkyjF3Z7KJcHvyb34GgPY8qAhSD3i31f
Bitcoin Cash: qzcadajt7mr5mw8ftp9s2evrd4q937n8qy603xgx86
Ethereum: 0x4659B82b3D729a60167b4E30d65858978AabA758
Ethereum Classic: 0x8CBCA36A174dc8C491dDA5e2F2B68C517C614507
Litecoin: MT98VquYYbizC25fuRdx41XaWrVweykcwu
Category: 3D Printer Parts
