SeeMeCNC Hotend Fix

SeeMeCNC Hotend Fix

thingiverse

Here's my attempt at fixing the SeeMeCNC hotend for printing in PLA. RostockHotEndFix4 and the corresponding STL are setup for 40 mm fans, while RostockHotEndFix4.2 and its corresponding STL are for 50 mm fans, each with a 25 mm active cooling fan. Instructions This thing reverses the center platform essentially. Disassemble the hotend bracket and remove the standoffs. Standoffs are placed in the three barrels. Don't be afraid to gentle hammer them in, the bracket is designed to take some abuse. The hotend now gets reassembled with the fans below the center section. The top of the hotend should go (top to bottom) attachment nut, hotend bracket, hotend standoff piece, hotend. Mount and wire fans accordingly. IMPORTANT: DO NOT FORGET TO ADJUST YOUR FIRMWARE. My build height went to about 328 mm. (Still ridiculously tall and I can now print...)
