This is a segmented interlocking well spacer for a URAM swift Pro Immunohistochemistry and deparaffinization central axis automated robotic work station. The wells are spaced evenly around the central base of a four axis robotic arm. Using the same robotic arm with the Groove attachments it should be possible to: 1) Perform complex automated immunohistochemistry protocols 2) Perform Deparaphjinnization protocols 3) using the magnetic head attachment, pick up and deposit staining racks 4) Laser engrave slides for processing 5) Laser ablate non-tumor tissue on slides to "enhance for tumor" in genomic studies 6) Pneumatic head attachment, pick up individual microscope slides 7) Universal gripper, pick up and deposit slides for In Situ Hybridization on Peltier block 8) perform complex preprogrammed sequences by Gestrue control 9) Enable onboard image feature recognition to enable interactive protocols 10) link / Mesh several workstations together to perform work concurrently or interactively. Staining wells for reagents can be alternated with draining or blotting containers or there may be a second ring for special procedures (delivering slides to a heating platform for in Situ hybridization / PCR. This design is suitable for Auto Immuno Stainers, Histochemistry stainers, deparaphinization procedures etc... All parts may be milled as a 2D DXF or 3D printed. Designed in TrueSpace 7.6 and subsequently milled using a Flashcut refurbished MAXNC CNC milling machine from 1/8' thick wood plates. The individual segments have angled edges (22.5 degrees) and are interlocking. The wells may be of any appropriate material and the segments are designed to have a 5 cm base. Programming movements for staining and Deparaffinization protocols will be perfomed using both MBlock graphical programming and OffLine Teach mode.
