I have thought of a simple 2 button remote control. To do this, simply connect a movie collection on hard disk to a Kodi box. Kodi can be easily controlled via JsonHTTP and start a movie. The TV is switched via infrared to HDMI and back to TV. There is only one start and stop button. Grandma has a paper list of movies, which contains the Kodi ID on which the film was indexed. I read the database with DB.Browser.for.SQLite and created an Excel table.
