This is an experimental design. It might not look good, but it can be refined. I'm not 100% sure this design is solving an existing problem, but in my opinion it might. The problem is the following: the users of prosthetic hands have no feedback if their fingers touched an object, or did not. In order to solve this problem, I incorporated a simple flexible tube, closed on both ends, running from the fingers to a custom wristband. If the fingers touch anything, then on the armband a small part inflates in proportion with the gripping strength, giving the user force feedback. The design can be changed to be more ergonomic (I lack the necessary anatomy knowledge to create a really nice prosthetic hand), and some parts are not designed yet, but they will be ready before the deadline. Hopefully I can print the hand this weekend, and try if it works.
