TODOs ====== - Finish writing instructions. - Finish writing bill of materials. - Orient STLs more reasonably. - Take some pictures. Background ========== I wanted a stiffer, more-awesome X axis for my Bear printer with a more-durable idler. Like the Serious Business y-axis replacement, this one uses external bearings in the idler. Also like the y-axis it uses press-fit linear bearings to maintain stiffness and straightness. This mod is somewhat easier and less invasive than the "full" Serious Business Y, but still benefits from a 15 mm reamer and an arbor press. It uses the same belt line as the Bear x-axis and extruder, and is therefore compatible with its carriage. Supplies ======= Incomplete. But the stuff you might not have: - (2) [MF148 bearings](https://www.avidrc.com/product/1/bearings/683/8x14x4-Flanged-Metal-MF148ZZ-bearings.html) - (8) [M3x0.5 nylock nuts](https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-0-5mm-Stainless-Nylock-Insert/dp/B012T3I87W/) - (1) [20T idler](https://www.amazon.com/Wangdd22-Aluminum-Bearing-Printer-Accessories/dp/B074QKKVWF/) (you must remove the bearings) Instructions ========= I'll get to this later. Updates ======= None yet!
