Serpinski Pyramid Fractal with 1 iteration on each face.
thingiverse
This is a Sierpinski Pyramid featuring four triangle faces, each face iterating the Sierpinski Triangle fractal. Face 1 remains solid. Each subsequent face adds more iterations: Face 2 comprises three solid triangles and one hole triangle. Face 3 features nine solid triangles and four hole triangles. Face 4 boasts twenty-seven solid triangles and thirteen hole triangles. An optional "SierpinskiPyramidConnectors01.stl" file has been added to facilitate gluing these shapes together for further iterations. To iterate by stacking these, follow these steps: Print four pyramids. Print six connectors. Stack the pyramids and glue on connectors as shown, securing them in place. Repeat this process for each new iteration, scaling up as desired. A warning: printing at a larger scale can lead to weak joints between internal triangles. Printing at 100% scale is recommended. A 50% scale version was successfully printed using super glue to reinforce triangle bonds. Print Settings: Printer: Maker Select i3 and PowerSpec Ultra. Rafts: No rafts were used in this print. Supports: Supports are optional, but can provide additional stability. Resolution: The resolution for this print was set to 0.20 mm. Infill: Twenty percent infill density was used. Notes: Supports or No Supports: This part can be printed with either supports or without them. The red pyramid in the image was printed with supports, while the blue one was printed without. Supports provided some assistance with an inner face.
