The Flying Knife application's table accommodates a sheet metal punch tool for swift cutting of holes and profiles to the desired length as they continuously move. Extensive work was invested in choosing an appropriate servo motor and perfecting the mechanical design, primarily focusing on optimizing the gear system. This involved intensive calculations utilizing SigmaJunmaSize and SolidWorks Simulation. Ultimately, a toothed belt gear was fine-tuned, reducing its mass by approximately 2 times. Lower gear mass leads to decreased moment of inertia, enabling faster motor acceleration and significantly enhanced productivity.
