Servo-powered Pan/Tilt assembly

Servo-powered Pan/Tilt assembly

A simple, printable pan/tilt assembly. It needs two servo motors (I've used HITEC HS-422, so the servo bracket fits that). Also, an attachment is provided to be able to couple the 'contraption' to a tripod with an RC2 (Manfrotto) plate. See the photo how to put it together. If anybody needs to know, that is a Devantech TPA81 thermal sensor array on the top... If you are really interested, you can check the pan/tilt head out at: http://www.amzsaki.com/?page_id=343 Instructions I've had success printing it with a 25% infill and 3 shell layers in ABS plastic on a Thing-o-matic. It is a compromise between strength and my patience to wait for it to print. For the mounting holes you have to figure out where to drill based on your servos and availability of screws. I've used #6 machine screws to form the hinge between the two brackets forming the tilt mechanism and the screws that came with the servos to mount the pan servo to the bottom bracket, the tilt servo to the hinge, to the servo bracket and the tilt servo bracket to the bottom bracket. You need to print: 2x bracket.stl (forms the tilt mechanism) 1x bracketA.stl (cradles the servo for the tilt) 1x tripodattachment (optional, if you need one)
