This is a set of covers for the flap and aileron servo linkages on the ParkZone Radian Pro. These covers will protect the servo linkages in a "landing" and prevent stripped gears. The aileron covers also have a rib that will skid along the ground when landing on hard surfaces. Note that the left and right aileron covers are different. They have a bulge on one side to clear the tip of the pushrod. Screw bases are provided that can be hot-glued into the wing to provide hard points for mounting screws. Note that you can actually position the screw bases inside the covers for printing to save space. See photos. Instructions Position the covers about 1cm from the hinge line, centered on the linkage rod and straight along the direction of flight. You can use a square on the straight leading edge of the wing to ensure they aren't skewed to one side. You can glue or tape the covers onto the wing, or you can mount them with screws for easy maintenance. I used mounting screws that came with HXT900 servos. The threads have an outside diameter of 2mm. Mark the screw holes with an awl and press a screw base into each hole. I screwed the bases to the cover and used the cover to press them in precisely in the correct locations. Remove the cover and hot-glue a screw base into each hole. Be sure to have a screw in the base when you glue it to prevent the glue from seeping inside. Press the base into the foam to make it level or slightly recessed and wipe off the excess. Hold it until the glue solidifies. Once the glue has cooled, remove the screws and re-mount the covers.
