Servo Steering for Dickie Spielzeug RC BMW Z3 Roadster

This is a steering mount and arm to replace the original motor and rotary switch setup found in a 27MHz RC car I found on eBay, modeled after the BMW Z3 Roadster. A 12g servo has plenty of torque and fits into the original electronics compartment quite well. This does not require any destructive changes to the car, no cutting or filing of the chassis, and uses the original screws. The servo mount fits into the front of the electronics compartment, and will fit comfortably along with an off-the-shelf 2-3S ESC or even an Arduino-based spaghetti ESC. The mount should press fit into the gap in the front of the electronics compartment, and the mount can be sanded if tolerances are too close. The link screws directly onto the servo horn, with a nylon spacer between the link and rack. The steering rack fits over the existing wheel posts, and the cover fits over the rack and wheels. The cover can be screwed onto the chassis posts using the original screws, and should prevent the steering rack from lifting off the wheels.
