Shaft Retaining Clips for Plasma Floating Z Mount

I love the original design. It’s a fantastic mount design for a switched floating Z. Unfortunately, I printed and broke 3 of the original designed mounts. They were made with 50% infill. I found the breaks were due to at a weak point where the ends of the steel shafts mount. On the 4th try, I bumped the infill up to 100%. Once printed, I simply drilled out the existing holes in the top so the steel shafts could easily slide into place. I drilled them out slightly bigger than 6mm. I created these little retaining clips to securely hold the shafts in place. This did a couple of good things. 1) it completely took away the pressure causing stress and breakage. 2) it’s much, much easier to assemble the shafts & springs now. I have mounted it to my plasma z axis and it’s working great. It’s used with a Powermax 65 Machine Torch. Check out the video.
