Shark Navigator DLX Replacement Nozzle

Shark Navigator DLX Replacement Nozzle

This is a replacement nozzle for the Shark Navigator DLX (circa 2015). A few years ago our dog got a hold of the narrow nozzle that stores in the base of the vacuum and chewed it up. Now that I finally have a 3D printer, I thought it was high time to design a replacement for it! I obviously don't have the original anymore as a reference, so this was designed based on the hole/cutout that's on the base of the vacuum. It fits just right in both that cutout and the end of the vacuum tube, though, so if you print it as-is without re-scaling (designed in metric/mm), you'll have success. I imagine that it will work for any other vacuums that use a 39-mm O.D. adapter/nozzle, but I haven't tried it with any other vacuum models. The shell on this is 2mm thick, so that makes the I.D. of the adapter be 35mm, which I assume is a more standardized size for vacuum cleaners (though I'm certainly no expert on the subject). I wanted to have a little fun with it, so if you notice on the side, there are some shark-fin-shaped cut-outs for the built-in suction release that's needed for a nozzle this small. Again, I don't have the original to know what size these holes were on that nozzle (or if there were any at all), but it works great for me with no noticeable lack of suction. In fact, it's much better than what I had before because it's finally narrow enough to get into those pesky crevices and hard-to-reach places! I didn't use any supports when printing, but you're welcome to if you think it will help your print quality. I designed it not to need them, but Cura wants to put them in anyways if you have them enabled. Because I've been struggling with bed adhesion on my Artillery Sidewinder x1, I found that adding a brim helped to ensure the nozzle stuck properly to the bed for printing. Especially since this is a taller piece, you may want to give it a little extra help to get it stuck down well. That being said, when I printed my frist test piece (and wasn't having other adhesion issues with my bed), it printed just fine without a brim.
