The ushabti figurine was an essential funerary object in ancient Egyptian culture, known by various names such as shabti or shawabti, with multiple spellings. These small statues were carefully placed among grave goods in tombs and served a vital purpose: they would act as loyal servants for the deceased if summoned to perform labor duties in the afterlife. Typically depicted carrying a hoe on their shoulder and a basket on their back, ushabtis implied their role as agricultural workers for the deceased.
