First saw these on hack-a-day. These cheap ($30ish) DC/DC power supplies are readily available on amazon, ebay, ect. These units come in a variety of specs so make sure you get one that will work for you. They require you to come up with your own enclosure. I opted to hang mine from a shelf overhanging my desk. I wanted this to be modular so I could keep adding them across. This version is getting DC in from a 12v supply on the shelf above. This solution does not solve for organizing whatever AC/DC converter you end up with. I printed this face down. If you decided to do this, check the width of your shelf. Also check the diameter of your banana plugs. Would not hurt to insure your device is the same size (these sorts of things are not known for their consistency). I also put a command velcro strip between the front of the shelf and the enclosure to prevent it from moving around if wires are tugged.
