Summary: Replacement Shelf Pegs in any size to replace missing or broken ones. It prints easy and fast, and is re-sizable to whatever is needed. Why? You might know the problem; you have to repair a shelf that has one missing or broken shelf peg. Getting exact the same one in a hardware store is not easy, especially when it is from a piece of furniture that is already many years old. Where to get one … well, make your own. Solution: I designed a parametric model by which I can produce shelf pegs that I need. My requirements: • must be designed to be strong • must be easy to print • must be re sizable to what is needed Print it upside down, with perimeters to the max such that it is solid. The layers will be in the length of the pin making it as strong as it can get. I do not want an exact replica of the one that is broken or missing. I simply replace all, usually 4. That makes all identical without the tedious job of matching it into an existing set. This enables the design to be clean and aimed at strength. It is a parametric design, using FreeCad with spreadsheet functionality. This makes it adjustable to any size. Of course within it’s intended usage. With this design I can resize it to other sizes in a matter of seconds. This helped me a lot to accommodate the different types I needed. If you need specific sizing and need help, contact me.
