This adds a vibrator motor to the shift knob of the Logitech G920 (and I assume G29). Use this with SimHub to get feedback when shifting gears. Gear grinding doesn't seem to be supported any more but it's still very useful with the gear shift effect. You get some extra feedback when the car goes into the next gear and can tell if you shifted at the wrong time and nothing happened. This is really helpful with sequential shifters. Before I had this I would mash downshift not knowing how many times the car actually downshifted. Now I can clearly feel it and have a much better idea of what gear I'm in. This has also really helped me learn to heel/toe downshift properly. I was having trouble with the Spec Racer Ford in iRacing and after I installed this I was able to feel that I was really mistiming my downshifts causing the rear end to kick out even more than usual. The motors are from an xbox 360 controller, the same that's commonly used for DIY pedal rumblers. Center screw is a flat head M4. Around the cap are 10mm M3 socket cap screws. The scad file is mostly parametric; everything is easily adjustable but I don't have safety checks for things like screws or the motor poking through the outside hull. This version replicated the original knob size but I may try some bigger balls in the future. Updates after use: The black and red ball is my original build. It is the same size as the stock ball. The gray and black ball is the new version. It is larger (just to be closer to my actual car) and it has a third piece so that the motor and wire can be removed and serviced while the ball is still attached to the shifter. The wire takes a lot of abuse. I tried very hard to run wires underneath the leather cover but three different configurations broke only after a few races. I even tried sewing it to the leather cover so it would not get caught in anything but the harsh and frequent bending broke my finest stranded wire. My solution now is to just use an old USB cable and run it outside the cover. It doesn't look terrible, the USB cable should be able to take some abuse, and you can wire up all four wires for a little redundancy.
