These are replacement release spring covers for early 1990's Shimano Altus cantilever bicycle rim brakes. Their main purpose is to preload the spring, but they also provide some protection from dirt and the elements. The original parts crack at the weakest point due to the plastic becoming brittle with age. This causes the brake blocks to release unevenly and rub against the wheel rims. There are two stl files, one for the side without the screw bias adjuster and the other for the side with. If you lose the screw, it is a self-tapping thread 3mm diameter, 13mm long.
