Ship in bottle - parameterised.

Ship in bottle - parameterised.

Someone suggested that I make a ship in a bottle and I tried using natural PLA but the transparency was very far from good enough. Hence this rounded triangular sectioned bottle with oval cut outs in two sides. The stl file for this version is tri 60 8.stl. The other stl file (MG triangular prism bottle.stl) is the same bottle but without the slots. The ship I bought from eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221269673564?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649) To accommodate this I scaled up the stl file by a factor of 1.8 on all three dimensions. Instructions I printed this on an Ultimaker using DiamondAge PLA via Cura 13.06.4 using a scale factor of 1.8. Bottle standing vertically, no support, 0.1mm layers, 100mm/s BUT slowing down for the shoulder/neck area to keep a layer time of approx 10 seconds. The SCAD file is pretty much fully parameterised and can be used to generate a bottle without slots as well as a bottle with slots (in two of the three sides). NOTE I found that I had to use F6 (Compile and Render) to view either of these models. Use F5 at your peril!
