An intriguing abstract design, this shape resembles a "shmoo"; learn more about it on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shmoo). I created the form in ZBrush and divided it into eight sections with interlocking features. To print it, I employed ReplicatorG along with a MakerBot Replicator2, following default settings for Replicator2 slicing: 10% infill, 0.2mm layer height, single shell, 90 feedrate, and 150 travel feed at 230°C temperature. A raft with complete support was utilized during printing, which took approximately 5 hours for a 70mm height model. Removing the support structure proved to be manageable.
