Set for playing Japanese chess (Shogi). The archive contains a blender animation file and a game board image file. There are two versions of the pieces. In the second version, the pieces consist of several bodies and can be used for multi-color printing. Shogi is a two-player strategy board game that is the Japanese variant of chess. In shogi, unlike chess, there are no black and white pieces - all pieces are of the same color. Their belonging to the player is determined by the direction of their sharp part. The game board is called shogiban and is a rectangle with a 9x9 grid of cells applied to it. All cells are the same size and color. Also on the board you can see four small dots that help divide the board into nine 3×3 squares, this makes it easier to see the playing field. The main difference between shogi is the ability to return opponent's pieces previously removed from the board, but already on their own side. This is what sometimes makes shogi games incredibly challenging and interesting. The last three horizontals of the board are the so-called "transformation zone". A piece making a move to this zone, a move inside the zone or from it, can be turned over. After the transformation, the strength of the figure increases and it acquires new possibilities. A more detailed description of the rules and strategy of the game can always be found on the Internet. Here is the traditional design of the pieces, the names are written in Japanese characters. Previously, a variant with notations more understandable for novice European and American players was introduced.
