Shooting lid SD card case (Super Mario question block)

Shooting lid SD card case (Super Mario question block)

thingiverse

Just another Super mario SD card holder... except it's not! I could just have printed out one of the existing designs on thingiverse, but what's the fun in that. I want a challenge, so why not make one with a lid that shoots up with the press of a button? I actually had one of my micro SD cards snap in half inside of my backpack (thank god it was only an 8gb one), sooo... it was probably a good idea to get started on this project. While this isn't technically a remix (everything has been designed from scratch in CAD), my inspiration for this project was the "Question Block Switch Cartridge Case" by Kickass3DPrints. I thought I would give credit anyway. Painting didn't end up looking that great (as you can see in the pictures). Should have bought some yellow filament instead :/ Fun fact: I don't really play any of the super mario games, but I like how the question block looks :D It can store quite a few cards: - 13x MicroSD cards - 7x SD cards - 3x MiniSD cards (Idk if anyone still uses them. Can be replaced with 2 extra SD card slots) You'll need to print: - 1x Cube (Yellow) - 1x Lid (Yellow) - 1x Plunger (Yellow) - 15x Nuts (White) - 1x "Button" nut (White) - 4x Question marks (White) Other things you'll need: - Some type of strong glue - Spring that is ~6mm in diameter and ~19mm tall
