ShopSmith Coupler for Powering Accessories

ShopSmith Coupler for Powering Accessories

An upgraded power coupler for the Shopsmith, as I wasnt happy with the other designs on this site. Mine features: - Ring on outside shows the side with 4 internal splines (for me this is the drive side) - External grooves matching location of these splines so you can see where to line up - Chamfered entrances to help slot in the drive hubs (still a snug fit once in) - Designed for 3d printing! No horizontal overhangs. - Straight tube on the outside, i.e. no thinner section in the middle. From a stress point of view, it's better to keep the maximum outer diameter and take material off the inside. I tried printing in ABS with 30% 3D honeycomb infill and using it to connect to a strip sander attachment, but it broke after 20 minutes use. Now using 70% infill, and its working fine.
