Quickie belt guard for newly acquired "rare" ShopSmith M5990 Pro Planer. Update: This guard vibrated too much due to unsupported bottom. Would work if shorter. See version 2 for better/functional guard.I have never seen the original part. Mine has 3.50 in. OD pulleys @ 12.50 in. and is the "pro" (standalone) version mounted on a stand with drive motor. Threaded holes in the planer are 1/4-20. Optional hole allows access to cutter's shaft for handheld optical tachometer. Welded and painted. If anyone has the manual for this (or "Mark V planer") please let me know - the manufacturer wants money for mailed photocopy of the original (unlike every other company that posts PDF manuals and parts info on the web).
