ShopVac connector

ShopVac connector

I needed a connector from my Carvewright machine to my ShopVac. I bought a DC Dust collector for the machine, but it had a 4" outlet pipe. My shop Vac hose was 21/4". I couldn't find one handy at Homedepot, so I decided to make my own. This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/ewT9nZgMDfP Instructions With this version of the model, you will need to use support. I didn't realize that I had an overhang inside until I started to print. Inside is a smooth cone shape to help with the dust extraction. But this model has an overhang I didn't use a support and the inside got messy, but it did finally close up. So until I update the design print with a support. It should take care of that issue. I used 10% fill and 2 shells. It printed on a Makerbot Replicator in black ABS in 3 hours. You can see it attach to the sheet metal part and the shopvac hose in the picture. I will probably duct tape it to the machine when I start to carve.
