Short range stringing test

Short range stringing test

thingiverse

This a small, quick to print test object to work on stringing settings. I find that large objects don't show stringing with my settings in Simplify3D but small objects do, like the backs of the wicker chair models (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:32225) that I'm trying to print. If you can print these without stringing, please let me know how. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple Black Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 100% Notes: Im using Simplify3D with 3 mm retraction and 9000mm/min non printing move speed. Printing at 195 degrees with PLA. Lower temps improve stringing but result in weak prints. How I Designed This This STL file was generated in 123D Design by merging sections of the wicker backs in http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:32225 with a small rectanglar shape for quick printing/testing.
