Shower Door Handle (3/16" glass)

Shower Door Handle (3/16" glass)

thingiverse

We bought a new house and the shower door didn't have a handle on one side. I quickly learned that no hardware stores carry these. All the handles at the stores require holes in the shower door which I wasn't comfortable trying. Enter the 3D printer that my lovely wife got me for Christmas. A little Blender and here we are. After printing, I used two layers of masking tape (folded on top of itself so that it isn't sticky) to add a little more pressure/grip. Fold the tape over the edge of the glass and just push the handle over the tape. If you have any tape overhang, just trim it off with a hobby knife. EDIT (2020-01-08): Added a second version without the large wing on the inside. This allows it to clear the other glass door in most cases. One day, if I figure out OpenSCAD, I'll add a customizer version that can be adjusted for different thicknesses of glass. This one is designed for 3/16" glass.
