Shower Shelf Caddy with Suction Cups and Razor Holder

Shower Shelf Caddy with Suction Cups and Razor Holder

A simple shower caddy/shelf I designed for my girlfriend. It is designed in two parts, for a 3D-printed outside and a laser cut shelf on the bottom. You could also print the parts separately or just fill in the bottom yourself - I attached the .f3d file for easy editing. The full thing is is 8.6" x 4.7" (220mm x 120mm) with small razor holders on the side. I wanted a shelf that was large enough for the 75 female shower products. I designed it to use [Medium Vinyl Suction Cups from TAP Plastic](https://www.tapplastics.com/product/plastics/handles_hinges_latches/vinyl_suction_cups/610) - [Datasheet here for dimensions](https://www.tapplastics.com/uploads/miscs/C3-Medium-Cup-with-Top-Pilo_1024x1024.jpg). I assume it's a common suction cup size but I really don't know. The holes in the model for the 3 suction cups are 13.8mm diameter. Alternately, you could use command strips on the back of it to attach it to the shower wall if your suction cups won't stick. One thing to try if your suction cups won't stick: [This instructable](https://www.instructables.com/id/Sticking-Suction-Cups-to-some-Non-Smooth-Surface/) says to use packing tape on the wall, then stick the suction cup on that. I printed this on a Prusa MK3s and it barely fit, so if you have a smaller printer it might not fit on the print bed. <h2>File Differences and printing notes</h2> Print it bottom down on the print bed. The angled slots are 45° so they should print fine without supports. I just don't feel like rotating my Fusion 360 file and re-uploading the STLs. The file "Shower Shelf Caddy No Razor Holders" doesn't have the little razor holders on the side, so it might fit on smaller printers. The "Fully 3D printed Shelf" file has the shelf on the bottom as a part of the STL, so you don't need the additional step of laser cutting. I haven't tested this file. "Shelf Laser Cut Acrylic".ai/.dxf/.svg - I exported the sketch of what needs to be laser cut into several different formats, hopefully one of them will work for your laser cutting process. At Clemson we have an Epilog Fusion M2 that uses Adobe Illustrator (.ai) files to cut. The dxf is directly exported from fusion 360 and contains some construction lines you'll want to delete and not cut. <h1>Update - better version!!</h1> I uploaded files of a better version I made that uses the metal/clear bar for hanging wash clothes on instead of suction cups, and I uploaded a few different arm sizes for it. This way you don't have to worry about suction cups failing in the middle of the night.
